Details
Do you have musical gifts that could help lead the people of God in worship?
At Atlanta Westside, we believe congregational worship is more than music—it is an opportunity to help our church respond to the beauty and truth of the gospel together. Because of that, we seek worship team members who combine musical skill, spiritual maturity, humility, and a genuine heart for serving the church.
This August, we will host in-person Worship Team Auditions for current Westside members and those actively pursuing membership.
We welcome interest from all instrumentalists and vocalists, but we are especially seeking:
- Electric Guitarists
- Keyboardists
- Bassists

Who We’re Looking For
We are prayerfully seeking musicians who are:
- Intermediate level and above in musical proficiency
- Able to play or sing with confidence and consistency
- Committed to learning charts and preparing independently
- Comfortable receiving direction and serving on a team
- Dependable, teachable, and eager to grow
- Motivated by a sincere desire to help lead congregational worship
Previous experience serving on a worship team is welcome but not required.

The Audition Process
Step 1: Submit an Interest Form + Video
Send your video to Corey@AtlantaWestside.org by Friday, July 17, 2026.
Those interested in auditioning must submit a video recording demonstrating their musical ability.
Video Guidelines:
- Instrumentalists
- Record yourself playing along with a worship song of your choice
- You may play alongside the original recording or a backing track
- No professional production is necessary—a phone recording is completely fine
- Please ensure the audio and video are clear enough to hear and see your playing
- Vocalists
- Record yourself singing a worship song of your choice
- Demonstrate both melody and harmony ability when possible
- Vocalists invited to auditions should be comfortable identifying or singing a harmony part
Please note:
We are not evaluating recording quality or production value. Instead, we are listening for:
- Musical competence
- Timing and confidence
- Preparation and musical instincts
- Ability to support congregational worship
- Overall readiness to serve in a team environment

Step 2: Invitation to In-Person Auditions
Following the screening process, selected musicians and vocalists will be invited to participate in August in-person auditions.
Invited participants will receive:
- An audition time slot
- Additional preparation materials
- A song or musical exercise to prepare in advance
- Information about what to expect during the audition process
Auditions are designed to be encouraging, thoughtful, and straightforward.
In addition to musical ability, we are looking for qualities such as:
- Preparation
- Teachability
- Team chemistry
- Responsiveness to direction
- A posture of worship and service
- An outward, personal expression of faith in Christ

A Final Word
Whether you have served on worship teams for years or have quietly wondered whether this could be a place for you to serve, we would love to hear from you.
Not everyone who applies will be invited into the next stage of the process—and that is okay. Our goal is to steward this ministry wisely while caring for people well.
We are grateful for every person willing to explore how their gifts might serve the church.
